 Showcasing Innovation: Media and Communication for Disaster Risk Reduction at The Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (WCDRR)

A joint initiative of BBC Media Action, Global Network for Disaster Reduction (GNDR), Netherlands Red Cross, Plan International, and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR).

Have you used media or communication to help communities at risk become more aware of disaster risks and build their resilience? If so, we want to hear from you as we aim to showcase creative and effective approaches of media and communication at our event which will take place at the Third UN World Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction in Sendai, Japan on 16 March, 2015.

We're interested in receiving examples that are:

• Innovative
• Have reduced disaster risk and improved resilience
• Can be replicated by others as good practice
• Are specifically targeted to people who are at risk of hazards
